Kristen Lillvis |
|
Kristen Lillvis is a PhD student in the Department of English at the University of Kansas, where she studies representations of mothering in Afrofuturist fiction and teaches literature and composition courses. Her article on sex and gender roles in Octavia Butler's Fledgling was recently published in the essay collection Practicing Science Fiction: Critical Essays on Writing, Reading and Teaching the Genre. As AboutSF Volunteer Coordinator, Kristen worked to promote and expand the educational resourcesincluding the Portable Teaching Workshop and lessons libraryavailable through AboutSF.
