Using the Gunn Center's
Registration and Payment System

or to register and pay online for the Campbell Conference.

To attend some or all of our Science Fiction Summer activities, or to enroll in a regular course not-for-credit, please complete the new online-registration form. It's a special kind of .pdf document that allows you to type in your information and save it (renamed with your name), then simply email that file or snail-mail the printout with your check. Instructions:

1. Open the new online-registration form.

2. Fill out the Contact Information section.

3. Click the appropriate box(es) for the event(s) for which you are registering.

a. If you are registering for any of the three writing workshops or the Intensive SF Institute, you must first get approval from the instructor. Registering for the program only via this form, without submitting an application to the appropriate instructor, will not allow you into the workshop or course. Please see the appropriate pages for details on obtaining permission to take the Short Fiction Workshop, the Novel Workshop (or the Repeat Offenders Workshop), or the Intensive SF Institute.

b. If you are staying on campus and want to share a dorm room, you must make your own arrangements in advance of registering. If you register for a double room and do not include the name and email of your roommate, you will be assigned to and charged for a single dorm room for the entire length of your stay.

Housing pricing is figured by the base cost of the event, plus the cost of any additional days you wish to stay. There are no discounts for checking out early or arriving late.

Do you have a Discount Code? This is only relevant if you applied for a tuition reduction, received a scholarship or award, or are registering early for the Campbell Conference (such as at ConQuesT).

If you cannot use the online-registration system or do not have a credit card:

Print the document using the PRINT feature of your browser. You may then write your information on the printed document then either scan the document and email the printed copy. If emailing a scanned copy, please submit it to Lydia Ash ( If mailing a printed copy, please send it with your check made out to University of Kansas to:
