About Samantha Bishop Simmons
AboutSF Coordinator 2010

Samantha Bishop Simmons is a PhD student in English at the University of Kansas, where her focus is the dissemination of science in literature, particularly in the Victorian Era. From early 2010 through August 2010, she worked for the Center for the Study of Science Fiction and maintained the AboutSF.com website, coordinated volunteer SF activities worldwide through the Center, and directed other AboutSF programs. Bishop hopes to extend SFnal educational opportunities through venues of public education.

She kicked butt to launch our new AboutSF.com website and to expand the lessons library located there. She also teaches composition and fiction courses at the University of Kansas.
